We love you, Colorado!

Our first family trip to Colorado was a success!  Here is our trip in pictures...

Arriving at the airport.  Ready to go!

One of the top 10 inventions ever.  Wheels that attach to the car seat to turn it into a roller.  Tommy loved it.

Travelin' like a boss.

"Hey ladies.  Come here often?  No?  Me neither - first time on a plane."  ; )

We went to an indoor playground and the boys loved this playhouse more than anything else.

Making and Eating Spaghetti

Ben's preschool class has been learning all about pizzarias and how they work.  One of the things they talked about was what other foods you can get at a pizzaria.  They decided spaghetti was their favorite food, other than the pizza.  So today in class, they made spaghetti with their teachers.  These are a few pics from the teachers.

Can't talk - busy eating!

I have no idea what you're talking about.  What spaghetti?

Almost out of winter (please?!)

We were supposed to get another foot of snow today.  Last week we were asked to prep lessons that the kids could do on their snow day.  Thank God that didn't happen!!  Actually, we got no snow.  The best kind.  ; )  So, today was a regular day in that sense.

Tommy was sick over the weekend, so I kept him home another day.  We never get to have Mommy and Tommy days just us, so it was actually kind of nice.  We did play dough, lots of books, visited our camp friends at the office, took a (short) nap, AND - Tommy found out that he absolutely loves the old coffee maker that was sitting in our basement.  I had to bring him down there to do laundry and he didn't even want to leave!

This weekend while Tommy was home sick with Chris, I took Ben to the Maple Sugar Festival.  He did NOT care about the sap, the boiling, the syrup - nothing could stop him from getting to that maple donut!!  Once we had our donuts he was happy to explore the farm, read the signs and watch the animals.

C'mon Spring - you know you wanna come to Connecticut!

Snow Day Part Two

We got even more snow last night, which was followed by a day of freezing rain today.  Good times.  So, schools were closed yet again and we had to come up with new and creative ways to stay busy inside for most of the day.  Since our day starts around 5:30am and ends at 8pm, that's a solid 12.5 hours of torture fun.  ; )

Today we did watch two movies (Cars and Planes, what else?!) but we also played with our moon sand and then spent some time cleaning it up.  Me with the real vacuum, Ben with the real Dust Buster (which he calls the Dust Meister since that's Dusty's nickname in Planes), and Tommy with our new hand-me-down toy vacuum (thank you Montanez family!).  After we cleaned up, the boys played nicely and I was able to get some other cleaning done.  We had some snacks, played with cars on the race track, rode the Skuut and read a lot of books.

After nap was over and we had eaten snacks, we decided it was time to brave the cold and go build a snowman.  So, we did.  And it was way more fun than I expected.  And pretty funny that our snowman is the same height as Tommy.  (((Little Goose)))

Still, I am eager for Spring!

Snow day

Yet ANOTHER snow day in CT.  It's getting a little harder each time to stay positive, but we're doing our best!  Spring will be here soon.  Right?  Right?!?!

At least the boys wanted to go outside this morning and it's not 10 degrees or colder.  It's actually just about at freezing, which feels down right balmy at this point.  I'll take it.

Other than that we are watching movies, painting and playing with cars.  And keeping our fingers crossed that the two other predicted snow storms this week were just a dream...

SO excited to play in the snow!  Even if T's pants are 3 sizes too big.

It's hard to mow snow.  Who knew?

Making the most of our summer toys
