We got slammed hard this past weekend. Stomach bugs for mom and dad and bad cold and fever for older brother. Thankfully there was a negative flu test and we are on the mend. Being sick is the pits!
Couch bound for days!

We took a New Year's Eve adventure to NYC today. But instead of heading to Times Square like a million of our closest friends, we went to Queens. For the views, for the playgrounds and for the food!
When the aunts and cousins come over for some Christmas fun...we end up with a few masterpieces of gingerbread houses and two kids overdone on sugar! Pure Christmas joy. : )
Yesterday was the first day of Winter Break for Ben and me. Tommy had school so Ben and I got to spend the day together going around town. We got him a haircut, went to the library and then out to lunch. In the afternoon he spent some time at the playground while I cleaned out the car - necessary for both of us! We braved CVS to get a special ornament for Tommy and Dad, and then headed off to taekwondo. It was a full but fun day!
Today we got to spend the day with Tommy since it was his first day of break. We started off with a haircut for him and then drove up to Bounce - an indoor trampoline park. They had a 6-years-old and under jump session for the kids, which was a perfect way to get the energy out! After that we had lunch at the diner and then went home. Ben went to the music store with Dad and Tommy and I went to Starbucks for a hot chocolate date. Then we headed into CVS again to get an ornament for Ben. It actually went smoothly, and it was nice to spend some one-on-one time with each of the kids.
Tomorrow is Christmas eve, so I am expecting quite a bit of chaos in the next 48 hours, but it's all good. Time to get wrapping!
It was a busy weekend full of birthday parties, Taekwondo class, halloween costumes and dentist appointments. We ended Saturday night with a Light the Night walk to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of those we remember who have passed away from or who are fighting blood cancers. I got one on one time with each of the boys, which was so nice. And Ben lost another tooth! Trick or Treating tonight!
