Spring is here!

Spring is finally here (really) and we are so excited to get outside! The sun is still up after school so there is plenty of play time. Today we broke out some patio/yard toys and had some fun before dinner.

Any good outdoor toys/games/ideas for summer fun?

Free Photo Shoot

When we took this amazing Christmas photo last December, we were automatically entered in a drawing for a free photo shoot with the same photo studio.  Amazingly, we won.  (And so did all my other friends who took pictures with that Santa, but I digress...)

So, off we went to a family photo shoot a few weeks ago.  It was a rough morning.  Early on a Sunday was the only time we could all manage to get together to do it.  So, the pictures weren't the best, but we did get this one gem.  He's a keeper. ; )

A Few Weeks in Photos

With Easter, sickness, travel, spring break, etc, our lives have never been busier.  So, it's come down to just some pictures.  Suffice to say we are happy and healthy (generally!) and looking forward to spring when we all have birthdays and lots of time to catch up and relax a bit. 

Tommy is now waving all the time and sticking his tongue out whenever there isn't a paci in his mouth!

Catching up

So much has been going on.  I just realized last night that it has been nearly a month since I posted on the blog.  Every day life getting in the way of blogging
; )

The boys have been quite sick this winter - one cold after the other.  It looks like we are taking a turn for the better heading into Spring now.  But, I will never say never.  These boys certainly keep us on our toes.

Tommy is 9 months old and checked out perfectly healthy at his doctor's visit this week.  He weighs nearly 20 pounds which puts him in the 50th percentile for weight.  His height is dead on average too.  He has two teeth and is babbling and drooling constantly.  He is cruising on furniture, holding himself up and getting ready to walk.  My guess is he will be walking by his first birthday. 

Ben is thriving as well, although he is in the thick of toddler-hood.  He throws tantrums like it's his job, and can whine with the best of 'em.  But, overall he is smart and calm - just headstrong.  He is working on putting on his own sneakers and getting better at that every day.  He puts on his own jacket and hat like a champ.  It's hard to believe that he will be 3 years old in just 2 more months.  He is moving closer to independence every day, but he still loves to snuggle and read with mom and dad.  I'll take that for as long as I can get it!

So, life goes on and we are moving forward every day just doing our thing.  Can't wait to be out of the house and on the playground or in the backyard!
