We started our vacation in California today. It was 90% travel. Wake up at 6, leave at 8, 6 hour flight and then settling in the house, grocery shopping, etc. it's been a long day! Tomorrow our real adventure will start. Here are some travel pics. :)

In The Last Few Weeks...

We have been keeping busy. It's been a pretty mild winter for us here in CT. We have had just enough snow to keep us happy but not enough to make us crazy! So let's see, we have had one snow day and one delay. Perfect. We got to do some sledding. We have watched a lot of TV and movies. Current favorites are Star Wars and Mickey Mouse. We had a few play dates and are looking forward to our vacation to California in a few weeks. This weekend brought extremely mild temps to CT. 60 degrees in February?! Thank you, global warming. I got in a few outdoor runs and the boys are enjoying the outdoor time. Let the countdown to Spring begin!

Blizzard Weekend

Winter came in like a lion this weekend. 16+ inches of snow hit our area hard. It snowed from Saturday at about 2am all the way through the day and late into the night, ending around midnight. The winds were crazy and warnings on TV told everyone to hunker down and stay off the roads. We happily obeyed and stayed inside most of Saturday. We watched Frozen (naturally) and Daniel Tiger, we made cookies, we did art projects, took naps and lounged around. Sunday was a little more lively. We had to shovel out the cars. The boys played in the snow for over an hour. The made a snowman and tried to sled but it was too deep! They mostly just climbed up and down huge piles of snow left behind by the plows.
Next time, let's aim for a work day, OK? Snow is no good to me on weekends. Mama wants a day off from work! ; )

Happy New Year!

Winter break is nearly over. Time to head back to school and work with renewed energy in the new year. While it hasn't been a "vacation" for us, we have enjoyed our time together as a family. We got to try new things, catch up on movies, travel to see family and of course play with all of the new Christmas toys.
2015 was a good year for us. We moved again, but this time it was local and we are loving our new space. Both boys changed schools, Ben started kindergarten, Tommy (finally) potty trained and we all got to travel quite a bit for work. In 2016 we will have many new firsts including a family trip to Disney!
